joannestapley@googlemail.com BioI'm 21, a Journalism student. I love reading and (trying to) write, a huge fan of fantasy in all forms, especially Melissa Marr, Rachel Caine, Jeaniene Frost, David Eddings and Robin Hobb. This blog is for me to talk about what I read, and what I write (when it happens). Mainly, this will be a Book Blog. Please check out my reviews, and comment with your views. Cheers! Reviews Policy:
♦ I'm perfectly happy for authors, publishers or publicists to contact me about reviewing books.
♦ Genres I'm willing to review are High Fantasy, Urban Fanatasy, and Paranormal Romance - adult or YA. Although I may on occasion have reviews on other genres, I'd rather not receive requests to review any other genres but those stated.
♦ When it comes to a book in the middle of a series, I'd need to have already read the previous books. If I haven't mentioned them in any way on my blog, there's a good chance I haven't read them. To double check, you can check out my Future Reviews blog to see if I'm planning on reading the first. Otherwise, you can always ask if I have read, previous to starting Ink and Paper. I believe it's unlikely though.
♦ I do not accept e-books or PDFs for review, only bound hardbacks or paperbacks.
♦ Unless I say otherwise, all books I read will be reviewed. I cannot guarantee the review will be positive, but it will be honest.
♦ I don't have a TBR list, I have a To Buy list - meaning that ARCs/review copies will have priority, and should be reviewed in a timely fashion. If there is a certain timeframe in which you want the review posted (i.e. several weeks from now/in advance), please let me know.
♦ When reviewing, I include: a summery, my thoughts, an image of the cover, who published the book, when it is/was published, a link to the author's website, and links to buy the book on both of Amazon's UK and US sites. I don't give major spoilers, so no-one is going to have a book ruined for them by reading my reviews.
♦ Reviews may be posted on Goodreads, Shelfari, Booktagger and LibraryThing also.
♦ Books will be sent to where I live in the UK.
♦ Review Policy is subject to change. If any changes are made, I will post a blog about it.
♦ I can be contacted via Livejournal or by email to joannestapley[at]googlemail[dot]com
